The SL Story first began in a pre-social media world. Young Samia Laaboudi, the brainchild behind the consultancy, would spend hours reading fashion books and scouring every detail of her prized Vogue magazines. The history behind each brand, and the generative capacity of creative directors to craft a sense of style that captures its ethos, stood out to Samia. They left an indelible mark on how she would approach fashion and creativity at large.
At nineteen years-old, Samia bought her first Louis Vuitton monogram pochette - one that she still has some fourteen years later. Soon after, she started to source pieces from the second hand and vintage market. Over the years, Samia slowly transitioned from fast to slow & luxury fashion. She embraced a no-waste circular fashion economy that she firmly believes in and hopes to extend to her client base!
The SL Story is all about making refined fashion choices that reflect your personality- all the while being conscious of their ecological and environmental footprint.

Samia Laaboudi
Founder, Image Consultant, Stylist and Speaker
Samia is a FIT-Certified Image Consultant, a Stylist, and a Fashion Lecturer/Speaker. Before she pivoted to the fashion world, she worked in operational risk management consulting for almost a decade. She has led online workshops & talks about conscious fashion and styling for Image Consultants Professionals from across the globe (New York, Australia, Malaysia, Peru, Argentina, Morocco… to name just a few).
She is also AICI Global Fashion Magazine Editor and is an active member of the Global Sustainable Committee.
Samia has worked backstage on several major New York Fashion week shows (Michael Kors, Thom Browne, Carolina Herrera, and many more). She has also been part of the styling team of several editorial photoshoots for well-known international Fashion Magazines (such as for L’officiel and Harper’s Bazaar).
